SDG Achievements in Management Learning

Teaching ESG Practices Through Educational Simulations

With businesses worldwide reforming their approaches and strategies to  embed evidential environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, in-line with meeting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Higher Education sector is also in the process of reforming the way it teaches sustainability as a subject.

On Tuesday 7th June, we hosted this webinar to explore the pedagogical approaches from two leading academics in the field of international business, business ethics, and sustainability: Dr Ziko Konwar from the University of Leeds and Dr Hinrich Voss from HEC Montreal.

We covered a range of topics and themes including:

  • What the UN SDGS mean for the teaching of business and management subjects
  • Enabling experiential education to develop students' knowledge of SDGs and ESG practices
  • How business simulations are developing students' awareness of ethical and sustainability-based business management.
  • The emergence of a more values-based student body, fostering future change-makers in business.

The webinar was hosted by Leon Lloyd from Edumundo and included a dedicated Q&A session with all attending participants and a sneak preview of our Sustainable Business Simulation.
