Overview

One of our more recent customers, Palle uses the ProSim Advanced simulation within his 'Bio-entrepreneurship' module. It's used as learning tool to introduce life science students to the principles and theories behind business management so they gain a commercial awareness of operating a company within the life science industry.

WHY DID YOU CONSIDER USING Business SIMULATIONS?

“I aspire to do more blended learning in the programme and it provides a tool for giving students a real learning experience and hopefully to improve continued student engagement.”

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE EDUMUNDO?

“I had a look at the Edumundo website and some of the instructional videos, as well as a wider chat with the Edumundo team. I felt their simulations were a good way of introducing simulation tasks in our programme.”

How Were Students Assessed On The Module?

At the end of the module they provide a presentation based on their business plan aligned to case studies within the industry of new life science businesses. The simulation task complements the other activities to provide a fuller picture of the life science industry.

Did the simulation meet the desired learning outcomes?

"Yes. The strong asset of running this simulation task with students is that it provides more personalised feedback to our students in their understanding of the life science industry and what it takes to manage a company.

What Feedback Have You Received From Your Students?

“It has been well received by our students. They enjoy the gamification and competitive elements of the simulation.
