“The module went through a revalidation process where previously we used to provide a similar, live, hands-on business exercise but it was difficult to administer over a 12 week module. What was the outcome at the end of the simulation?

“By the end of the simulation, students could position academic theory in real-world contexts and understand the importance of operations such as supply-chain management, HR, marketing. It doesn’t cover in-depth but it’s a fantastic starter to get people to really understand the different aspects of business and the roles and decisions managers have to make and why they need to make them.”

How Were Students Assessed On The Module?

“Students delivered a presentation discussing the theories and approaches they took in the simulation and the rationale behind the decisions they made during each round. This culminated in an overall evaluation of their company’s performance on the simulation.”
