The Edubook is based on the "7-Dimensions" from the author Fons Trompenaars and "Dilemma Reconciliation" from the author Charles Hampden-Turner. References are made to other models such as those of Hall, Schein, Hofstede and Meyer, amongst others. Instead of focusing on each model separately, this publication is about the coherence of the models when applied in practice. Fons Trompenaars is known worldwide for his work as a consultant, trainer, speaker and author of many books on culture and business. 

Riana Schreuders is a teacher and Assistant Professor at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. She gained a lot of inter-cultural experience in various roles which shaped her PhD research on 'The cultural intelligence and adaptation experiences of expatriates'.

Where multi-national organisations (MNCs) used to be mainly large-scale industrial companies, this is now increasingly the case for smaller companies.
